The sandal found the feet...

Everyone exclaimed so did I on 20th May, 2011. it was like one of those fairy tales one narrated or one read and the rest kept dreaming the tales. I always wondered what it would be like to be Alice in her wonderland or that princess Fiona who is charmed by a ogre and the potion of ’happily ever after ‘or the Rose falling for the Beast who turns out to be a prince later or the Rapunzel whose long braided hair could pull up a prince up to her rescue from the tower.

That particular moment when his majesty the King pronounced his decision to wed this beautiful lady, the commotion everywhere was of welcoming the October month soon with ‘the Royal Wedding’.
“Jetshun Pema” was another name for me that day, which got added to my list of enchanted characters.

A smile in unison with my heart at its little abnormal range of beating passed my lips as I set my enchanted world ablaze.

It was perfect from all angles! Epitome of beauty was the message my life sized mirror reflected back while  I couldn’t believe my eyes for a bun of a hairdo on me was the last thing I would ever do with my waist length hair least I was going in for a shower. If ever spotted me in one then it conveyed I am not only having a bad hair day but an extremely sad day too.
Today was different. I was failing my own prejudice I had on my appearance until now over a hairdo because I was looking god damn gorgeously beautiful.  I don’t remember the last I adored myself so much that I simply couldn’t leave the sight of my favorite object, ‘the mirror’, for it boosted my very existence.
It was until I heard a voice coming towards me which confirmed my reasons behind that glowing expression despite the hairdo I would prefer last with my hair on my head.

The warmth of the touch had sent a tornado all over my body and the most damaged area was my heart which thudded louder and faster than its normal pace. His smell had perfumed the air around me while I lay there gasping for more breath. I had felt his cheeks drawing near mine and his hands that gently caressed my hair as he slowly whispered in my ears ‘you look more beautiful with your hair up’.
I heard the sound of the camera that went ‘click click’ as I posed harder feeling his breath so close and the same smell that had lingered around me from that warm embrace with those powerful words, ‘Will you be my queen for the rest of my life?’
I couldn’t have asked for more.
I was shaken from my reverie by my office assistant to sign some papers. I found myself facing my computer screen with the picture of his majesty the king happily in arms with his to be queen adorned with the perfect hairdo of a bun.

P.S I was feeling the shoes of the enchanted character that I had just managed to add on my list.
